Florida-based Alpha1 Staffing+Search Firm Awarded Emergency Services Staffing Contract, Activates Florida’s Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP)
MIRAMAR, FL – Sept 13, 2017— South Florida based Alpha1 Staffing+Search Firm, a leading human capital management, strategic staff augmentation and recruiting firm headquartered in Miramar, FL has been awarded a two-year extension for the provisioning of emergency staffing services. The firm activated its plans to swiftly support Florida’s Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP) in response to Hurricane Irma, a Category 5 natural disaster that battered the Caribbean and Florida.
As a premiere contractor for the past five years under this federally funded program, Alpha1 Staffing has provided more than 800 personnel in support of Florida’s D-SNAP under contract with the South Florida Workforce Investment Board.
In this role, Alpha1 Staffing offers emergency short term or temporary program administration when the area is given a federal disaster declaration and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) approves an Emergency SNAP in the area. Alpha1 is qualified and experienced to provide such staffing services and is duly authorized to practice in the State of Florida.
Alpha1’s D-SNAP emergency response program management activities include:
- Recruitment, hiring and training necessary staff
- Conducting a background screening consistent with program criteria, as set by the client.
- Ensuring employees adhere to all policies and procedures outlined by the client.
- Assigning worksite and schedule instructions to personnel.
- Management of timekeeping and payment processing activities.
